Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 1, 2026

1. Commitment to Accessibility

Relevante.IA SL is committed to ensuring the digital accessibility of its platform for all people, including those with disabilities. We work continuously to improve the user experience and apply internationally recognized accessibility standards.

This statement applies to the websites relevanteia.com and app.relevanteia.com.

2. Reference Standard

We strive to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines are the international reference for web accessibility and the basis of the European standard EN 301 549, applicable under Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).

3. Accessibility Measures Implemented

We have implemented the following measures to improve the accessibility of our platform:

3.1 Design and navigation

  • Semantic HTML structure: correct use of headings (H1-H6), landmarks, and ARIA roles.
  • Consistent navigation: coherent sidebar and menu structure throughout the application.
  • Color contrast: interface colors meet the minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
  • Responsive design: the platform adapts to different screen sizes and devices.
  • Icons with labels: navigation icons (Lucide) include descriptive texts.

3.2 Content

  • Alternative texts: images and graphics include alternative descriptions (alt text).
  • Data charts: Recharts graphs include accessible tabular data as an alternative.
  • Language: the document's lang attribute is correctly set according to the selected language.
  • Error messages: forms provide clear and descriptive error messages.

3.3 Interactivity

  • Keyboard navigation: interactive elements are accessible via tabbing.
  • Focus indicators: focused elements display a visible outline.
  • Accessible modals: confirmation dialogs (ConfirmModal) manage focus correctly.
  • Tooltips: contextual information (Tooltip) is accessible via hover and keyboard focus.
  • Notifications: toast messages include ARIA alert roles for screen readers.

4. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas of the platform may present accessibility limitations:

  • Radar charts (LayersRadar): the visual representation of the 5-layer score may be difficult to interpret without vision. We provide numerical data as textual alternative.
  • Content editor (TipTap): the WYSIWYG editor has accessibility limitations inherent to the ProseMirror framework. We are working on improvements.
  • Generated PDFs: PDF reports generated with Puppeteer may not fully comply with PDF/UA standards. We are evaluating improvements.
  • Widget iframe: the free audit widget embedded on third-party sites may be affected by the accessibility of the host site.
  • Shopify integration: the TipTap editor used to edit Shopify content (body_html) presents the same accessibility limitations inherent to the ProseMirror framework mentioned above.

We transparently document these limitations and work to resolve them in future updates.

5. Technologies Used

The accessibility of Relevante.IA depends on the following technologies:

  • Semantic HTML5.
  • CSS3 / Tailwind CSS (with accessibility classes such as sr-only, focus-visible).
  • JavaScript / React 18 (with focus management and ARIA).
  • WAI-ARIA 1.1 for roles, states, and accessibility properties.

These technologies are compatible with the most widely used browsers and assistive technologies.

6. Compatibility

The platform has been designed to be compatible with:

  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest 2 versions).
  • Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android).
  • Keyboard navigation: full support in all mentioned browsers.
  • Zoom: the interface is functional with zoom up to 200% without loss of content.

7. Evaluation and Review

We evaluate the accessibility of our platform through technical self-assessment in accordance with WCAG 2.1 level AA, automated accessibility detection tools, and manual testing of keyboard navigation and screen readers.

We review this statement and conduct periodic evaluations at least once a year or after significant platform updates.
